A new pair of progressive glasses should not leave you avoiding stairs, moving your head excessively to find a clear spot, or ending the workday with aching eyes. Yet these are common reasons people start looking for nonadapt progressive solutions after being told they simply need more time to adjust. Some adaptation is normal. Ongoing discomfort, unstable vision, or difficulty performing daily tasks deserves a more careful assessment.
Progressive lenses are designed to provide distance, intermediate, and near vision without visible lines. They can work very well, but only when the prescription, lens design, measurements, frame position, and visual demands are considered together. When Progressive Lenses Are Not Adapting Well

You do not need to describe the problem in technical optical language. Practical descriptions are often more helpful.
